Thank you card & envelope

The envelope is embossed, chalked, and trimmed with teal floss using my sew easy tools.   The envelope & card were made from leftover pieces from a layout.  I love to recycle my scraps into something useful!

If you look at the different pieces that are attached by the teal brad, you will see that it reads, "Thank you - for being there for me - @ the right moment".  The upper section of the bottom tag has lines where you can specify the sentiment.

Scrap It With a Song Challenge: "Here Comes the Sun."

It has been quite a while since I have blogged.  I recently decided to start blogging again!
My first entry is the "Scrap It With a Song" challenge.

I really enjoyed making the embellishments for this layout.

This is a wooden bird that I purchased from Scraperience scrapbook store.  I used 2 tones of yellow, an olive, and a chestnut pigment to color the bird with.

I used tulle and glitter to make my sun.

Making the hammock for the trees was one of my favorite parts!  I used twine and burlap to make my cute little hammock. What a perfect place to be when the sun comes out.

Last but not least... my blinged out flowers!  If you know me at all... you know that I love most anything sparkly... it matches my personality!

Flower Power! Scrappin' Sillhouette Challenge 08

This sketch is the only thing that I worked on during the crop at Paper Moon this weekend.  I had so much fun talking and helping others that I forgot all about my own pages; helping is the fun part for me!

LT helped me distress the diamond patterned paper in the background.  I cut 18 scalloped diamonds on my Cricut using Sure Cuts Alot.  Each diamond was embossed and chalked; some were glittered and some were flocked.  I made the beaded flower in  the pot as well as the chenille butterfly. I think that the colors as well as the flowers went well with my beautiful daughter's pictures.

Sugar Flowers

We celebrated Beatriz's birthday @ Paper Moon today.  Her husband Steve made the cupcakes and I made the sugar flowers.

I only made one rose, and it was for the birthday girl.

I think that LT enjoyed the cupcakes better than anyone else!

I am soooo thankful for my scrapbeading family; I love them very much!

The Pink Elephant Challenge #18

This is my favorite of  my daughter, Krystinah, when we were on a cruise in July '08.  I made the embellishments on this page (except for the butterfly).

XBOX 360 controller cake

This is a groom's cake I made in the shape of an XBOX 360 controller.  The cake is the size of 1/2 sheet cake.  The picture below the cake is what I was duplicating.  It was challenging, but I enjoyed the adventure!

The Pink Elephant Challenge (TPEST 14)

This is The Pink Elephant Challenge Sketch that I designed my page after.
The lady in these pics is Liz from NY.  I met her when she came down to visit my friend Beatriz.  We taught her how to scrapbook and gave her a tour of DothanDothan is home of the nation's smallest city block and the peanut capital.

Paper Niche Challenge 070110

This is the Paper Niche Challenge Sketch that I designed my page after.

The lady in the pics is Autumn; she is the owner of my most favorite store in the world, PaperMoon/ Firefly Beads!  LT is her baby in the box.  When Bea took the pics the other day, I knew exactly what I wanted to scrap.

The thought tag brings in the humor to the page. I included a close-up for anyone who is curious:)

Scrapping with a song challenge: "I Can See Clearly Now."

My daughter tends to be very kooky, silly, & hilarious to be around. I love taking random pics of her being herself. I had no idea how I was going to scrap these pics until I saw the title of the Song Challenge. My favorite part of this layout is making the flowers out of googly eyes.
